SJMIS Online School
Online School is the model for learning when all students are learning at home. It utilizes a combination of
online tools and resources to move student learning forward and keep students connected to their teachers
and peers. A balance of synchronous and asynchronous activities are used based on developmental levels and
learning objectives.
Student support services (ELD, IEP, counseling) continue to be available online and SJMIS will continue to
do everything possible to meet the social emotional needs of students.
Key Features
- A strong focus on the students’ social-emotional needs.
- Learning is supported with both digital and textbook/workbook resources.
- Seesaw and the SJMIS NEO LMS will be the major communication platforms with regard to learning.
Grades and attendance will be also available for students and their families in the ALMA student
information system. In addition, class LINE groups will be set at the beginning of the school year
to support flexible communication between the school and the families. - An online schedule will be provided for each class. Online School starts at 8:30AM and finishes at
2:40PM from Monday til Friday every week.

SJMIS NEO LMS
Gr 3 to 12 Students & Parents
SJMIS NEO LMS is the main platform used by teachers to deliver online teaching, share files, give assignments, upload course materials, and provide daily two-way feedback. Students and parents use their school email to log in.

Seesaw
Pre-K to Gr 2 Students & Parents
Seesaw is a virtual classroom where teachers upload learning resources, post assignments, and offer feedback, students share their learning, and it is also used to communicate with students and families.
ALMA
Gr 1 to 12 Students & Parents
ALMA offers a parent and student portal to help families stay informed and on track with student learning. The portal provides access to: school calendar, staff directory, class rosters, attendance history, assignments, and grades.
BridgeU
Gr 7-12 Students & Parents
BridgeU is a university and careers guidance platform used to help students discover the higher education pathway that’s right for them.
ConnectED
Gr 3 - 6 Students
ConnectED is the digital component of our English Reading Wonders series, to engage students in individualized learning. Students need to use their own username and password to log in and access the weekly reading, writing, and language assignments.
Zoom & Google Meet
Staff, Students, and Parents
Zoom and Google Meet are online conferencing tools and are used for meetings and synchronous learning.
