Philosophy

We uphold the belief that learning is a lifelong pursuit—one that thrives in an environment where curiosity is encouraged, critical thinking is developed, and diverse perspectives are celebrated. Our community fosters a culture of accountability, where students and staff alike take ownership of their roles and responsibilities, working collaboratively toward shared goals. Integrity is the cornerstone of our school culture. We guide our learners to act with honesty, fairness, and moral courage, empowering them to make principled decisions and contribute positively to an ever-evolving global society. In the face of challenges, we instill resilience— equipping our students with the strength and adaptability to persevere, learn from setbacks, and grow through adversity. At the heart of our philosophy is inclusivity. We honor the richness of diverse backgrounds, ideas, and experiences, striving to create a welcoming environment where every member of our community feels valued, respected, and empowered to thrive. SJMIS is more than a place of learning—it is a vibrant, compassionate, and forward-thinking community that prepares globally competitive individuals to lead with wisdom, empathy, and purpose

Curriculum

Saint John Mary International School follows an American curriculum based on the Common Core State Standards, with a strong focus on nurturing the whole child—academically, socially, and emotionally. In Kindergarten, the program is play-based, helping students build a strong foundation in early literacy and numeracy, while also developing social skills and independence. In Elementary, students are introduced to self-learning strategies and collaborative work, while continuing to strengthen core academic skills. The curriculum also promotes a sense of community, helping students understand their roles and responsibilities within a group. As students move into Secondary School, the focus shifts toward critical thinking, independent learning, and career exploration. A wide range of electives allows students to pursue their individual interests, and external examinations such as Advanced Placement (AP) and Business and Technology Education Council (BTEC) provide opportunities for academic challenge and real-world application—preparing students for success in higher education and beyond.

Mission

Our mission is to foster a dynamic and inclusive learning environment where academic excellence is the standard, accountability is embraced, integrity guides all actions, and resilience is cultivated. We are committed to empowering individuals to reach their fullest potential while upholding a culture of respect, responsibility, and lifelong learning.

vision

At SJMIS, we envision a dynamic learning community where students develop a lifelong love for learning, pursue excellence, and grow into globally competitive, and compassionate individuals who embody the values of academic excellence, accountability, integrity, resilience, and inclusivity
